Pond Liner

SealEco EPDM Rubber Pond Liner. £7.99 per square metre.
Tens of thousands of ponds have been built in the UK using butyl rubber liners; this has now become prohibitively expensive. An excellent alternative is our SealEco EPDM rubber liner. It looks and feels just like butyl, it wont breakdown in sunlight, it’s as strong as butyl and the same thickness (0.75mm), its easy to lay and has a lifetime guarantee.
Avoid thicker liners and PVC as these do not mould to the pond shape easily.
Traditionally red sand has been used under liners to prevent puncturing, this however is heavy, hard work and it all ends up in the bottom. Roll out our underlay and nothing will penetrate it – grey in colour and a high density of 260gsm and it’s easy to lay and cut
Choosing the size
Choose your area - preferably in a sunny spot
Mark out the shape using a rope or hose pipe – Measure the maximum length and the maximum width
For garden and wildlife ponds a depth of 45 – 60cm (18-24”) is deep enough
Use the calculator for Liner size = (length + twice the depth) and (width + twice the depth)
